Juniors

Cardiff Hawks is one of the largest and most successful junior AFL clubs in the Hunter Central Coast AFL League. Players are placed into teams according to their age and graded ability, with Cardiff Hawks represented in multiple teams across all age divisions. Participant ages in our Junior Club are 8 to 17 years for Junior Competition level fixtures.

Pre-season training starts during March with the competition season usually starting early April with the Grand Final being held on Father’s Day.

We pride ourselves on being a Family Club and place great value on welcoming our Junior players, developing their skills and transitioning them on to representative and Senior football.

Auskick

We also run an Auskick Centre/Program under Cardiff Hawks which is coordinated by dedicated members of our club. This is a skills based learning environment where younger kids are able to grow and develop their AFL skills prior to junior competition years.

Auskick is held usually on Wednesday night from 5:30pm to 6:30pm starting in April. Players will also get an opportunity to run out with the senior teams including half time games between the senior games. 

Participants generally range in age from 5 to 8 years for Auskick.
